Youth Ministry

Our Youth Ministry wants to support parents in raising their kids by emphasizing a clear gospel proclamation, promoting Biblical literacy and understanding, and creating a culture of discipleship and discipling. The goal of our youth group is to prepare students to be capable disciples and church members when they leave the home.

Sunday School Ministry

Sunday school is the teaching arm of the church. “Teaching” means guiding the learning activities that meet human needs. The Deuteronomy verse expresses that step through the words “that they may hear.” The ultimate goal of teaching is “that they may learn.”

Health Ministry

What is a Health Ministry? ... Health ministries heighten community awareness between congregational/community resources and partnerships to encourage healthy lifestyle changes, increased physical fitness and chronic disease management and/or prevention.

Project Reach Ministry

James 1:27. “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” James reminds believers that true religion involves practical outreach and compassion towards those in need.

Bible Study Ministry

We believe it is important that we are continuously growing in our relationship with the Lord as well as in relationships with one another. Small groups meet regularly to study the Bible, pray for one another, and offer opportunities to build lasting relationships.

Brotherhood Ministry

It is the vision of the Brotherhood Ministry to strengthen, encourage and build up the men of the church, to be all God has called them to be as individuals, husbands, fathers, sons, employers or employees, through the study of God’s Word, fellowship and prayer.Proverbs 27:17 declares:As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

Deaf Ministry

At Springfield Baptist Church, we love to welcome those with hearing challenges into our church family. Interpreters use American Sign Language (ASL) during our 10:30 service on Sunday mornings Look for them to the left of the pulpit as you face it.

A.J. Whittenberg College Ministry 

The A. J. Whittenburg College Ministry of Springfield Baptist Church participates in the domestic missionary efforts of Springfield Baptist Church through its contributions to undergraduate students' academic achievement. Outreach efforts support the development of undergraduates with the delivery of workshops, coordination of service opportunities, and the annual awarding of competitive scholarships, presentation of book awards, and bestowing of back-to-school gift cards. Ministry efforts are sustained by donations made by church members, community partners, and annual fundraising efforts.
